El Paso Center for Children

The El Paso Center for Children HOPES program provides free clinical services to families with children ages 0-5 and expectant mothers. Licensed mental health professionals use evidence-based practices to strengthen and cultivate family relationships. Services offered include: 

  • Play therapy
  • Theraplay® principles
  • EMDR
  • TF-CBT
  • The Incredible Years
  • Parents as Teachers

Through play, parents and children grow in the areas of attachment, trust, increased self-esteem, self-regulated emotions, and improve problem-solving skills.

Home visits are also available.  HOPES program provides other services that are beneficial for families such as:

  • Basic needs
  • Child care
  • Transportation
  • Case Management
  • Workshops – hygiene, healthy nutrition, resume writing, interview skills, and many more (schedule of workshops will be listed on the HOPES website)

HOPES’ focus is on strengthening families based on the Five Protective Factors:

  • Family Functioning/Resiliency
  • Social/Emotional competence of children in time of need.
  • Concrete Support
  • Child Development/Knowledge of Parenting
  • Social Connections
  • Nurturing and Attachment

**El Paso Center for Children, The Incredible Years and Parents as Teachers offer case management services, child care and basic needs.
